Synthesis and Evaluation of Biological Activity of Novel Sugar-Derived Aziridines

Assia Keniche

Abstract

The Sugar derived aziridine was obtained from iodo-aziridines through in situ  nucleophilic expulsion of iodine using glucosamine as a nucleophile. This work describes new results of our ongoing research targeting new aziridines of  biological interest. All the compounds were screened for their antibacterial activity, they all showed comparable moderate to good growth inhibitory activity with reference to Tetracyclin, Ciprofloxacine and Gentamicin.

Keywords
