Abstract:

Abstract
Nowadays, most of the companies have a lot of computers that are usually connected
by a local network. This network allows to exchange data and to work as a team and to
open up to the outside world, that is to say internet. This gate can be used for actions,
if unchecked, can harm the company (data hacking, destruction ...).To counter these attacks,
a firewall is so important, the purpose of this tool is to secure the company’s local
network. In addition, it can also restrict internal access to the outside. Indeed, employees
can engage in activities that the company does not endorse. By placing a firewall restricting
or prohibiting access to these services, The Company can therefore have control over
the activities taking place in its premises. The firewall thus offers a real control over the
network traffic of the company. It allows to analyze, to secure and to manage the network
traffic, and thus to use the network of the way for which it was planned. All this without
cluttering it with unnecessary activities, and preventing a person without authorization
or authentication from accessing that network.
