Abstract:
This work concerns the study, by the finite element method, of a synchronous machine with
permanent magnet with concentration of flux and fractional winding. We first gave an
overview on MSAPs in general and on flux concentration MSAPs in particular as well as on
the different types of magnets used and presented the coils used and more particularly the
fractional type coils. We were subsequently interested in the study, by the finite element
method, using FEMM software, of a concentrated winding MSAP with 12 stator slots and 4
pairs of magnets buried in the rotor. We have noted its static characteristics (magnetic
induction, flux per phase, expansion torque, torque per phase, co-energy, self-inductance,
mutual inductance) and shown the influence of the variation in the dimensions of the
permanent magnets on the performance of the machine
