Dr. Anne GROBOILLOT is an associate professor since 1993 - Present, at Laboratory of Microbiology CBSA - Bacterial Communication and Anti-infectious Strategies UR 4312, University of Rouen Normandy (France).
She holds in 1989 a Ph.D. from ENSAIA, National Polytechnic Institute of Lorraine (INPL), France. During 1990 – 1993, she held a position as a Research associate at Department of chemical engineering, McGill University, Montreal, Canada. She is currently working on the Impact of an air pollutant, nitrogen dioxide (NO2), on the bacterial microbiota. Study of the response to NO2-induced nitrosative stress in different strains isolated from healthy skin. An experimental device was set-up in order to expose the bacteria to air or gaseous NO2. These experiments allow mimicking the contact of the gaseous pollutants with the bacteria on the skin surface in real life. Evaluation of the bacterial response by different approaches: - physiological parameters in bacteria after exposure: cultivability, growth kinetics, biofilm formation. - Membrane integrity (flow cytometry). - Molecular modifications: 3-nitrotyrosine nitration, gene expression (proteomic and transcriptomic) and - Morphological modification: atomic force microscopy. Dr. GROBOILLOT is author of 22 articles in international peer-reviewed journals, 3 articles in national peer-reviewed journals, 24 scientific oral and poster communications.
