Dr. Amel BOUANANE-DARENFED is a Professor and Researcher in Microbiology at Faculty of Biological Sciences, University of Sciences and Technology, Houari Boumediene (USTHB). Her career is marked by an incessant quest to understand 
microorganisms and their interactions with their environment. She has a particular interest in the microbiology of thermal waters and enzyme-producing bacteria.
