Abstract: The present paper undertakes the study of Oliver Stone's blockbuster World Trade Center and the ideological stance it conveys. In this regard, the film is analyzed by shedding light on the political context which followed the September 11th attacks, with reference to Louis Althusser's theory on the interrelatedness between ideology and art. Therefore, the study of World Trade Center is conducted with a special focus on George W. Bush's speeches "Address to the Nation on the September 11 Attacks" and "Address to the Joint Session of the 107th Congress", both of which we consider to embody the president's ideology and encapsulate the tenets of the post-9/11 policy...
