Abstract: This research paper aims at demonstrating that historical issues such as anti-Semitism have remarkably contributed in shaping literature in general and fiction in particular. Besides, History as a discipline has continuously withstood many assaults by those who would use past-events and particular conjunctures for personal purposes and to shape public opinion. To illustrate this point, this research discusses the truthfulness and realities of anti-Semitism in Europe and America during the Second World War and in the light of Dawidowicz‘s book The War Against The Jews 1933-1945 and Philip Roth's novel The Plot Against America
