Abstract: Today more than ever, the role of technology in teaching is of great importance. The present study investigates the attitudes of the teachers in the Department of English at the University of Bejaia towards the use of technology in their teaching. We have opted for a quantitative method consisting of a questionnaire. To report the gathered data, a descriptive statistical analysis is used. The findings have revealed that teachers have positive attitudes toward the use of technology in teaching. For them, it enhances their motivation and facilitates teaching both inside and outside the classroom. Besides, the use of technology is regarded as an impetus to transform their way of teaching from a traditional to a modern one. However, teachers reported having found some difficulties when using technology. For them, it is both effort and time- consuming and constrained by lack of materials, locations, and resources.
