dc.description.abstractThe study investigate the Algerian EFL students and teachers. attitudes and perceptions regarding the use of translanguaging in classroom learning and teaching and its involvement in improving students¡¯ understanding in learning English as a foreign language. The qualitative data collection method used was carried out on second-year Master¡¯s students in applied linguistics English department at Bejaia University. The sample consists of 30 students and 5 teachers who were chosen. Data was gathered through online questionnaires. Two questionnaires were used to get concrete description and statistical results about students. use of Translanguaging as well as, to find out how translanguaging can improve the students understanding when learning the target language. The questionnaires were analyzed qualitatively using descriptive statistics. The findings of this study show the existence of translanguaging in EFL classrooms which has three or more different languages used in teaching and learning foreign languages...en_US
