Abstract: These present researches investigate the use of code switching in social media among students of Letter and Languages at Bejaia University, including department of: English, Arabic, French and Tamazight. In this paper, we investigate and describe the factors and reasons that encourage students at Bejaia University (Faculty of Letters and Languages) to use code switching in their social media interactions. This paper also sets out to find out whether this code switching deliberate voluntary or systematic habit. In addition, it aims also to discover student’s feelings, attitudes, and viewpoints towards the use of code switching in social media platforms such as: Face book, Instagram, Whatsapp. The questionnaires have been distributed to the LMD students in the Faculty of Arts and Languages at Bejaia University academic year2021/2022.The target population require a group of 40 among students from different departments including: Arabic, French, Tamazight, and English. The findings have proved that students use code switching in social media deliberately and voluntary as well as student’s attitude towards this phenomenon is highly good and positive according to them.
