Abstract: The present research examines the role of body image in Frances Cha’s If I Had Your Face (2020), from a feminist perspective. The study focuses on showing how body image is represented through the major female characters. Moreover, it exposes the South Korean society’s great emphasis on physical appearance and its pressure on women to alter their bodies and conform to the rigid societal beauty standards. Additionally, it demonstrates that physiognomy is a cultural belief that influences women’s decision to undergo cosmetic surgery and change their outward appearance.
