Abstract: This Paper explores the aspects of social instability in Ernest Hemingway’s The Sun Also Rises. The novel is a reflection of the lost generation, it detects the characters as lost, disillusioned, and instable. This study aims at detecting the aspects of social instability that lie within this novel. To achieve this purpose, we define first the term social instability, and then we carry on by analysing the main characters, some of the themes, and the author’s style. By examining all these elements we are introduced to a new feature of The Sun Also Rises which is the aspects of social instability
