Abstract: Affective variables including anxiety are the most important facts to consider in the foreign language learning. Foreign language anxiety is widely used to describe the feeling of tension and apprehension which harms the language learning development. The present study examines the effects of foreign language anxiety on EFL students’ oral communication in the classroom among the third year students of didactics at the University of Bejaia. The population of this study included 408 students of the English department who are learning English as a foreign language, but the sample consisted of 80 students from the two sections. Furthermore, we adopted the quantitative method to collect data from the large number of students using the questionnaire
