Etude et analyse des conditions d'exploitation du gisement de baryte de Koudiat Safia W. Médéa

Abstract

Ce projet a pour but d¡¦analyser les conditions d¡¦exploitation du gisement de baryte situe a Koudiat Safia, dans la wilaya de Medea. L¡¦etude a pour objectif d¡¦evaluer la faisabilite d¡¦une production annuelle de 50 000 tonnes de baryte, en integrant les dimensions techniques, economiques et environnementales du projet. Trois methodes d¡¦exploitation sont envisagees en fonction des caracteristiques geologiques du gisement : „h La methode des chambres et piliers, adaptee aux gisements filoniens a faible pendage (entre 15¢X et 30¢X). „h La methode des sous-niveaux abattus, utilisee pour les amas de grande puissance. „h La methode des chambres magasins, appropriee aux gisements verticaux ou subverticaux (86¢X a 90¢X) a structure filonienne. Le gisement de Koudiat Safia dispose de reserves estimees a 3,9 millions de tonnes. Avec une cadence de production annuelle de 50 000 tonnes, la duree d¡¦exploitation pourrait s¡¦etendre sur pres de 78 ans, sous des conditions constantes. Une exploitation rationnelle et durable de cette ressource permettrait non seulement de dynamiser l¡¦economie locale, mais aussi de contribuer a la diversification du secteur minier en Algerie. Toutefois, la reussite du projet dependra d¡¦une etude approfondie visant a optimiser les strategies d¡¦exploitation et a anticiper les impacts environnementaux a long terme. This project aims to analyze the mining conditions of the barite deposit located in Koudiat Safia, in the wilaya of Medea. The study aims to assess the feasibility of annual production of 50,000 tons of barite, integrating the technical, economic, and environmental dimensions of the project. Three mining methods are considered based on the geological characteristics of the deposit: „h The room-and-pillar method, suitable for shallow-dip vein deposits (between 15¢X and 30¢X). „h The blasted sublevel method, used for large deposits. „h The storage room method, suitable for vertical or subvertical deposits (86¢X to 90¢X) with a vein structure. The Koudiat Safia deposit has estimated reserves of 3.9 million tons. With an annual production rate of 50,000 tonnes, the mining life could extend to nearly 78 years, under constant conditions. Rational and sustainable exploitation of this resource would not only boost the local economy but also contribute to the diversification of the mining sector in Algeria. However, the project's success will depend on a thorough study aimed at optimizing mining strategies and anticipating long-term environmental impacts.
