Abstract:
L’objet de ce travail est, d’une part, la synthèse et la caractérisation des poudres de ZnO par la méthode chimique hydrothermale et l’évaluation de son activité photo-catalytique pour la dégradation de la rhodamine B sous irradiation visible et solaire, d’autre part. L’analyse structurale par diffraction de rayons X a confirmé la formation des cristallites de ZnO de structure hexagonale type Würtzite, avec une orientation préférentielle suivant l’axe (101), tandis que la taille des cristallites diminue inversement à l’augmentation du pH et du temps de réaction. Par ailleurs, la caractérisation morphologique réalisée par microscopie électronique à balayage (MEB) a révélé que la morphologie des poudres varie en fonction du pH et du temps de réactions. En effet, différentes morphologies (feuillets, nanotubes et nanorods) ont été observées quand le pH et le temps de réaction varient. L’étude de l’activité photo-catalytique de ZnO pour la dégradation de la rhodamine B sous irradiation visible et solaire, a montré une meilleure efficacité de ces poudres sous irradiation solaire. Nous avons, également, constaté que la taille et la quantité de catalyseur utilisée dans la réaction jouent un rôle important dans le processus de dégradation.
