Abstract: | The present study aims at exploring the effectiveness of role play on improving students’ speaking skill. Subjects are first year LMD students at the Department of English at the University of Bejaia. The method of this research work is a descriptive one. That is, it aims at describing the two variables: Role play as the independent variable and its role in developing students’ speaking skill as the dependent variable.
