Sufi discourse between the dilemma of understanding and brod interpretation

Abstract

Among the most important problematics that faced the Sufi discourse, there are
those concerning its meaning understanding and objectives grasping. Its style is regarded as
ambiguous and difficult to understand, still refusing to be open to most readers. Yet, the
excess in symbols’ use to prevent meaning from explication shakes the receiver’s imagination
to look for hidden significance. Thus, reception turns into an active interpretative process
aiming at reaching the very meaning of Sufism. This paper attempts to get through the Sufi

text and its language which contributed in hardening Sufi creative writing, by showing this
discourse acceptability to reading, explaining and interpreting; and by using the interpretative
approach which seems very fitting to such kind of discourse
