Abstract

The present study examines the field of Sufi discours which is considered as the most important discourses in the Arabic-Islamic culture, for its unique artistic and aesthetic features, and the intellectual and cognitive debate it causes in the field of criticism. Indeed, it is a huge reference in the field of thought and literature, holds out intellectual meanings, symbols and signs, which have deepened the meaning of doctrine, showed the worth of the human being, and worked to eliminate differences and, promote tolerance, and dialogue between cultures and religions. Sufism is a complex discourse due to its branched components between Sufi writing (Poetry and Prose), spiritual practice (it is about all that which is spiritual), and the Sufi terminology (symbolic terms which have particular contexts, terms and meanings). This poses us a major problem about what Islamic Sufism is, what the cognitive origins and the cultural references of Sufi discourse are and what its particularities relating to its textual manifestations are
