Abstract

This article aims to study the novel figure. We use this concept as a procedural tool that helps us to activate a coherent critical reading of the novel “Who killed Assaad AL Merrouri” of the Algerian novelist Lehbib Sayeh. Given the difficulty to identify the novel figure in its entirety, we focus on the scenic structure of the novel. Therefore, we have come to define the narrative scene techniques in dialogue, description and summary. Analysis shows that the novel is based on the cinematic language method which depends on the visual aspect, without ignoring the psychological density of the characters
