Abstract:
This study aims at investigating EFL students’ writing difficulties and the common errors they make in their English writing. The participants in the study are 26 randomly selected third year students of English at the University of Bejaia. To achieve the research aims, a mixed methodology was employed, whereby data was collected through the Students’ Questionnaire, and a Corpus Analysis of fifteen randomly selected essays. The results obtained from the Students’ Questionnaire revealed that the majority of students encountered difficulties in vocabulary, grammar and academic style
