Function of the editorial board
The Review of Economics and Management of the University of Béjaïa is committed to promoting high-quality scientific research, in compliance with the most rigorous ethical and professional standards.
The journal’s staff, composed of the Director of Publication, the Editor-in-Chief, Associate Editors, the editorial secretariat, and reviewers, works towards the promotion of high-quality scientific research addressing issues in economics and management. It is also committed to ensuring that authors fully comply with the charters and regulations governing the field of scientific research.
The REG journal adopts the following fundamental principles:

Scientific integrity: All parties involved must adhere to high ethical standards and refrain from any form of misconduct (plagiarism, data falsification, or fabrication).

Confidentiality: Submitted manuscripts are confidential and must only be shared with authorized parties.

Impartiality: Editorial decisions are based solely on the scientific merit of the work, regardless of the authors’ origin, gender, nationality, or institutional affiliation.

Respect for copyright: The journal is committed to respecting intellectual property and requires the same rigor from contributors.

Editorial Commitments

The Faculty of Economic, Commercial, and Management Sciences, represented by the Dean as Director of Publication, is responsible for publishing research articles in accordance with the applicable legislation and the editorial policy adopted by the editorial board.

The REG journal applies the principles of transparency and best practices in scholarly publishing established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ).

The REG journal is committed to publishing only original scientific articles that are reviewed and evaluated respectively by the Editor-in-Chief or Associate Editors, two anonymous reviewers, and, where necessary, a third reviewer. Editorial decisions are based solely on scientific merit.

The REG journal conducts similarity and plagiarism checks on submitted articles before initiating the review process.

The REG journal publishes, free of charge, all articles accepted by the designated reviewers.

The editorial board ensures the confidentiality of authors’ scientific data until publication. Unpublished articles are returned to their authors and subsequently destroyed.

The journal guarantees the anonymity of both authors and reviewers, who are selected according to their expertise and research field.

In case reviewers decline to evaluate submitted manuscripts, the editorial board appoints alternative reviewers within a reasonable timeframe. Reviewers are requested to submit their reasoned evaluation reports within a maximum period of two months.

The editorial team responds to all authors’ messages and requests within reasonable timeframes.

If the REG journal is made aware of allegations of research misconduct concerning a submitted or published article, it follows COPE (or equivalent) guidelines to address such allegations.

Previous issues, since the journal’s creation in 2017, are also available on the same platform. In addition, issues are simultaneously published on the University of Béjaïa website: https://univ-bejaia.dz/revue/reg. The REG journal ensures long-term digital preservation and archiving of its content.
