The purpose of this study is to analyze the air transport sector in Algeria, its political and economic history, and the way in which this sector is integrated into the Algerian economic landscape, both in terms of intrinsic operators (airlines, airport structures, etc.) and external economic and political actors (companies, administrative authorities, etc.). The ultimate goal of this study is to report on the role of air transport (and in particular air freight) in Algerian international trade, and the way in which Algerian companies use this transport solution in their exchanges with the rest of the world. This work is based on a vast survey (art and qualitative study) which results highlight the function and the eminently strategic issues of air transport in the Algerian economy.
