Abstract

This study consists of laying out some results to a PREU research project (2018), which aims at explaining the obstacles to urban travel and a comparison between public and private urban transport in terms of quality service. To do this, we have opted for the method of empirical and qualitative survey (inquiry) in the view of users of urban transport, in all its forms, within the city of Bejaia. The main results show that the obstacles to travel are mainly related to road conditions and congestion. Besides, the level of urban transport services is less efficient, particularly in the private sector where several weaknesses and shortcomings in the system have been observed within the implemented system.
