Abstract

Based on specific characteristics, private equity plays a crucial role in economic growth. However, its development remains timid in Algéria. This study is part of contribution to the improvement of this industry in Algeria. Its main purposes are to document the situation in terms of private equity in Algeria and to suggest avenues for improvement.Starting from a literature on the subject and based on international experiences and models, this paper providesregulatory, legal,institutionaland technical approaches in order to achieve a powerful and efficient private equity activity in Algeria
