dc.description.abstract This research work attempts to explain the reasons behind Obama’s immigration reform in favor of undocumented immigrants through the study of his autobiography Dreams from My Father (1995) and his Immigration Reform: Executive Announcement 2014 Speech. This research reviews the history of undocumented immigrants in America, the concepts through which it explains the seeds of DACA, and its rejection in Congress. For this, the study relies on identity politics to unveil Obama’s personal life experiences which seem similar to the Dreamers’ ones... en_US
