Abstract:
research falls within the field of comparative literature. the challenge of our work is to seek a rapprochement between three texts which are Ulysses ( 1922) and Odyssey (1614), Ulysses and Le Chien d¡¯Ulysse ( 2001). Therefore, it is appropriate to adopt intertextuality which consists of revealing the literary connections between the texts. On the other hand, Le Chien d¡¯Ulysse which received several prices among them the Goncourt price for the first novel and the Vocation treats brilliantly the political problems of Algeria during the 19thcentury. It is necessary to emphasize that a lot of researchers have studied and analysed the novel, Ulysses, by James Joyce and Le Chien d¡¯Ulysse by Salim Bachi. Moreover, the particularity of this research is that, unlike the majority which compares between Ulysses and Odyssey between Le Chien d¡¯Ulysse and Odyssey, but no research has been carried out studying these three books together as models, so we had the enthusiasm to compare them together, which will make the originality of our work. It aims to prove that Salim Bachi drew inspiration from Homer.s Odyssey the novel Ulysses in order to deal with sensitive conflict in Algeria.
