dc.description.abstract Over years, the subject of grammar has been one of the hot debates which gathered many linguists and researchers’ views concerning the effect of the English grammar on SL and FL learners as a specific case. These discussions tried to find out whether the English grammar should be taught for these learners inclassrooms or not. In fact, the aim of the present study is to investigate the major factors and elements that second year FL learners consider to be the main source(s) behind their grammar weaknesses, in one hand. In the other hand, we tried to find out how this last could affect negatively their willingness to communicate (WTC) in the classroom using the target language appropriately. The study was conducted at Berchiche Secondary School- Bejaia, with 28 second year FL learners and 5 teachers of English from the same school en_US
