About the Journal

The Mediterranean History Journal, indexed by ERIH Plus, is classified in category B by the DGRSDT. It is a biannual journal from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Bejaia, accepting contributions in five languages: Amazigh, Arabic, English, French, and Spanish.

Objectives:
The Mediterranean History Journal aims to disseminate historical knowledge to teachers, researchers, students, and the general public. It offers a platform for the critical evaluation of research in history. Articles published undergo a peer-review process.

Additionally, the journal seeks to promote historical research by offering researchers the opportunity to share their discoveries and to facilitate dialogue between historians and researchers, thus fostering the exchange of ideas, debates, and methodological approaches.

The journal serves as a platform for documenting historical events, biographies, and other relevant topics.

Scope:
The Mediterranean History Journal focuses on studies related to the history of Mediterranean countries from prehistory to the contemporary era. It is also open to historical contributions addressing the past of countries worldwide, covering various aspects: society in all its dimensions, agriculture, industry, commerce, politics, culture, customs, traditions, etc.

The journal adopts an interdisciplinary approach, linking history to other fields such as sociology, anthropology, archaeology, and more.

The journal publishes varied issues, each based on a call for contributions disseminated on well-known platforms (e.g., Calenda). It also produces special issues. Each anonymized article undergoes two blind reviews, with a third review if the first two are contradictory. To be considered, authors must submit their articles exclusively through ASJP (https://www.asjp.cerist.dz/en/PresentationRevue/605).

The Mediterranean History Journal is listed in the national registry of scientific journals edited by the Algerian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MESRS) and on its Algerian Scientific Journal Platform (ASJP), managed by CERIST. The scientific and editorial board of the journal is international, comprising experts from the University of Bejaia, other Algerian, and foreign universities. The Mediterranean History Journal publishes only original works. The editorial team reserves the right to request corrections and/or modifications from the authors.
