Morocco and the Algerian revolution during the negotiations stage: from the territorial ambitions to the war of the sand (1961-1963).

Abstract

In this research we try to address the stage of the history of the Algerian-Moroccan relations during the negotiations stage, where the territorial ambitions of Morocco emerged and ended only with the launching of the war of the sand in 1963. We have reached the important results: Algeria-Morocco relations entered a decisive and dangerous phase, Morocco's drive to achieve its ambitions by all means possible, and when his appeasement of Benbella system failed to reach any results, he used his tricks and maneuvers and organized military skirmishes to seize the positions vacated by the French. The military escalation led to the entry of the two regimes into the war, the relations between the two armed struggle time reached a level of deterioration and hostility as a result of the insistence of the Moroccan regime to impose its sovereignty over Tindouf and Bashar.
