Al-Hafiz Baqi bin Makhlid Al-Qurtubi and his role in enabling the doctrine of the people of hadith in Andalusia
Abstract
The Iberian Peninsula, at the end of the first century of migration, experienced radical and comprehensive transformations, in the context of the conflict between East and West, which led to the establishment of the first building block of the Islamic state, as well as the final elimination of the decrepit Gothic state. Muslim and foreign historians, all of this was the result of the superiority of a number of Muslim scholars, each in his field, and Al-Hafid Baqi Ibn Makhlid remains one of those scholarly statures that enabled the doctrine of the people of hadith in Andalusia.
