Abstract

The war of liberation faced a serious problem after its declaration; it was the problem of supply and armament that was very important for the continuation of the struggle project. The Kabylia region, which was known after the Soummam Conference as “Wilaya 3”, was part of that problem like the rest of the five historical states. So, the state leadership searched for efficient means for solving the problem despite the decisions made by the Soummam Conference in this regard. Accordingly, all capacities were mobilized to provide land for the internal geographical locations of Wilaya 3. The latter’s luck in border armament was very poor due to the difficulties that surrounded the operation of the missions because of the electrified lines of Charles and Morris, or because of the internal disturbances that happened in the Wilaya 1, and this affected the supply inside it.

However, the state leaders handled the problem whether by self- financing or by sending convoys to the borders to bring weapons such as the crossing battalion led by “Mohmmed El- Kbaili” and another led by “Youcef Latrech” another convoy led by “Chammam Ammar”, and others…

Key words: War of Liberation, The third historical state, supply andarmament, arms convoys.
