Aspects of the heroism and sacrifice of the arm convoys of Wilaya 3 on the territory of Wilaya 2. The battles of Ain Laksab, Stiha and Sidi Salem as a model.
Abstract
Supplying the revolution with weapons was one of the crucial issues for the revolution command, especially when the armed struggle spread throughout the national territory. The task of bringing weapons from abroad was assigned to special teams called “Arms Delivery Convoys”. These convoys sacrificed to deliver weapons to the maquis, defying all the measures and obstacles of the French army, and confronting its regiments with arrogance and pride in many places, thus chronicling the most beautiful images of heroism and endurance. This study revolves around this idea and focuses on the challenge of these convoys in their task, in addition to the role of the revolution command to face the French policy which aimed at neutralizing any action intending to supply ALN fighters with arms. And as a model, the study is limited to the arms convoys of historic Wilaya 3, highlighting some aspects of its sacrifices on the historic Wilaya 2 territory.
Key words: arms convoys, Wilaya 3, heroism, lines of Charles and Morris.
